Dayton Children's Hospital, in Dayton, Ohio, is currently recruiting for an additional pediatric cardiologist to the group. The practice has been an integral part of the team of hospital subspecialists for well over 40 years and remains primarily an outpatient driven entity. Presently, the group evaluates nearly 9,400 outpatients and performs approximately 5,600 echocardiograms per year at the hospital, at the hospital-based practice and at community-based satellite offices. In addition, inpatient consultation and ongoing daily assessments are completed at Dayton Children's Hospital and echocardiograms and consultations are performed at newborn nurseries (levels 1,2 & 3) at other local hospitals. There is an active adult congenital heart disease program in place.

The department is looking for a pediatric cardiologist with training and/or experience with clinical cardiology as well as echocardiography skills: trans-esophageal echos, fetal echos and interpretation of adult echos.  Ability to perform pericardiocentesis is preferred.

There will be a faculty appointment at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, options for clinical research if desired, and ample opportunities to educate medical students and residents within the office and the hospital.
