Breast Surgical Oncologist

The Division of Surgical Oncology at the MetroHealth System and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine is seeking an academic breast surgeon at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level to join the full-time faculty. Candidates should be board eligible, or board certified by the American Board of Surgery with fellowship training in Breast Surgical Oncology or Surgical Oncology with a breast focus. Applicants should possess excellent clinical and technical skills, and have a strong interest in teaching, research, and active collaboration in multidisciplinary patient care.

The Center for Breast Health at MetroHealth has been fully accredited by the American College of Surgeons’ National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) since 2011 and is designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology’s Commission on Quality and Safety and The Commission on Breast Imaging. As part of the MetroHealth campus transformation, we are excited to open our doors to a new, state-of-the-art breast center in the summer of 2026 where our breast surgeons will work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary breast care team to provide comprehensive care to our patients with breast disease.

The MetroHealth System is a county-owned, nationally recognized academic medical center and tertiary referral center with 731 licensed beds. MetroHealth is one of the largest, most comprehensive health care providers in Ohio with more than 700 primary care and specialty care physicians. All active staff physicians in the Department of Surgery hold faculty appointments at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

We offer a competitive compensation package, health insurance, paid time off, liability insurance, an academic appointment to the Case Western Reserve School of Medicine faculty at a rank commensurate with experience, CME opportunities, malpractice coverage and an impressive pension program with a generous employer match through the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).

As a Breast Surgical Oncologist, you will have several opportunities to consider. However, few will offer you the personal and professional satisfaction and the opportunity to work in an academic, community integrated medical system that is leading the way to a healthier community through service, teaching, discovery and teamwork. We have exceptional clinicians with extraordinary hearts, and we are looking for more to join us.

If you would like to be a part of our team, please send cover letter and CV to the attention of:
