What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active New Jersey medical license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proven experience in adult cardiac surgery, including CABG and arterial revascularization
• Ability to perform complex procedures such as redo coronary revascularization, pericardial window, and off-pump CABG
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with ancillary staff, including PAs, nurse practitioners, and intensivists

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience in a Level II Trauma environment
• Familiarity with PowerChart (Cerner) EMR system
• Experience supporting ICU and OR teams in a busy hospital setting

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Prior experience in a hospital-based, surgical practice setting
• Minimum 3-5 years of specialized surgical practice in cardiothoracic surgery

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to cover approximately 12-13 shifts per month, including call (schedule to be determined)
• Credentialing expected to complete within 30 days
• Engagement in adult cardiac procedures such as CABG, revascularization, and related surgeries
• Availability to start on June 1, 2026, for a duration of approximately six weeks
