The Section of Pediatric Infectious Diseases in the Department of Pediatrics at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine (WFUSM) is seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor with passion for clinical excellence and clinical teaching.

Position Highlights:
Mentoring: Programs for junior faculty are available and supported by the institution and department.
Well Established: Section members have a successful record of accomplishments in perinatal HIV prevention, pneumococcal surveillance, vaccine preventable diseases, neonatal infections, global health and medical education.
Collaborative Environment: Providing inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of children with suspected or proven infectious diseases at Brenner Children’s Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC.
Growth: Potential opportunities to expand the ambulatory infectious disease operations. outstanding opportunities to advance in their academic career such as active participation in infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, medical education, clinical research, quality improvement, and other areas.
Teaching: In addition to clinical responsibilities, the position will also include teaching responsibilities and supervision of medical students and residents.
State of the Art Technology: Clinicians utilize EPIC EMR and Leverage access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, streamlining clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature

Ideal Candidate:
- MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent and be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics in the subspecialty of Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
- Candidates must have or be eligible for a North Carolina (NC) medical license as determined by the NC Medical Board.
