Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon: Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available

As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, you’ll examine, diagnose, and provide surgical and nonsurgical care to patients with conditions or injuries to the head, mouth, teeth, gums, jaw, or neck. You’ll command medical units, conduct research on diseases of military importance, and train personnel in your field, as well as manage programs that support health and disease prevention.

Active Duty (Full-Time)

• Loan Repayment: $120,000 in student loan repayment in $40,000 annual payments to qualifying federal student loans paid directly to the lending institution through the Active Duty Health Professions Loan Repayment Program (ADHPLRP).
• Sign-on Bonus: $600,000 signing bonus for 4 years of service.
• Incentive Pay: $55,000 paid annually for each successful year of service. $8,000 additional annual bonus as long as board certification maintained.
• Location: Over 40 locations stateside and several more overseas, including Hawaii, Alaska, Italy, Germany, and Korea.

Army Reserve (Part-Time - 38 days a year)

• Loan Repayment: $250,000 in student loan repayment in $40,000 annual payments to qualifying federal student loans paid directly to the lending institution through the Health Professions Loan Repayment Program (HPLRP).
• Sign-on Bonus: $45,000 annual signing bonus for 2, 3, or 4 years of service.
• Incentive Pay: $55,000 paid annually for each successful year of service. Must have completed residency program in your specialty. $8,000 additional annual bonus as long as board certification maintained.
• Location: Continue your civilian occupation serving time at a local unit within 50 miles of your location. Transition to different locations as needed.

• Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates.
• Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico.
• U.S. citizenship or Permanent Residence (Reserve only).
