Noninvasive Cardiologist Medical Director, Preventive Cardiology/Ministrelli Women’s Heart Health

Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak is seeking a noninvasive cardiologist with expertise in preventive cardiology and women’s heart health to join a nationally ranked heart disease program. In this role, the physician will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of noninvasive cardiologists, imaging specialists, interventional cardiologists, and clinical staff to lead the premier Ministrelli Women’s Heart Center, as well as provide development leadership for a Preventive Cardiology program.

Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak serves as the academic center and tertiary referral service for the eight hospital Beaumont system. The Ministrelli Women’s Heart Center, founded in 2002, resides on the Beaumont Royal Oak campus as one of only few Women’s Heart Health clinics in the state of Michigan. Clinical duties will include outpatient clinic work, noninvasive reading, and inpatient rounding responsibilities. Medical Director responsibilities include leadership and oversight of Beaumont Royal Oak’s Ministrelli Women’s Heart Center, as well as Preventive Cardiology services. The candidate must possess strong clinical skills and have significant experience in Preventive Cardiology and Women’s Heart Health, as well as a track record of clinical research, commitment to teaching, and a strong desire to advance innovation preventive medicine.

The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Beaumont Royal Oak has a long tradition of excellence in clinical care, innovative research and teaching. The individual will be eligible for appointment to the faculty at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. Beaumont, Royal Oak opened on Jan. 24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today, that hospital is a 1,100-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma status.
