Gynecologic Surgical Oncology NP RNFA or PA

Mercy Medical Group (MMG), a multi-specialty group with more than 500 healthcare providers in the Sacramento region, is looking to add a Nurse Practitioner (RNFA) or Physician Assistant to its busy Surgical Oncology division. Our clinicians provide services to patients at Dignity Health Medical Foundation’s Mercy Medical Group locations throughout Sacramento.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing care to established patients, assisting in the operating room, inpatient hospital rounding, patient education, post-procedure follow-ups and surveillance, and responding to patient questions on a variety of medical issues. This opportunity is full-time with no call requirement.

Requirements:

• Training from an accredited NP with RN First Assist license or PA program
• Excellent communication skills
• Valid state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a First Assist license (RNFA) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• DEA, Furnishing Licence, PAB required Substance Abuse Course
• ACLS, BLS
• Previous experience in surgical oncology or a closely related field is highly preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound clinical judgments
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant healthcare technologies

The posted compensation range is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
