ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Pediatrics, located in Edenton, NC, are seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Physician to provide locums coverage. Provider will need to come in the day before their first shift for orientation and EHR training.
Hours: 0830-1700
8/10-8/14
3 days/week for the following weeks:
8/17 – 8/21
8/24 – 8/28
1 day the following week:
8/31 – 9/1
DETAILS
- Avg # of patient/admissions per day: 20 in the office
- Avg# of admissions/day - one in the hospital
- Avg# inpatient census – 1 baby born per day
- Will respond to codes: No- unless in the nursery
- Required attendance at C-sections when requested by OB provider
- No ICU/Critical Care duties
- No ER backup coverage required
- EMR= EPIC
- Practice Includes: 6 exam rooms and onsite lab services. 1 MD, 1 FNP and 4 Nurses/MAs.
- Required Certification: BLS and PALS
- Procedures: Onsite Lab, In House Circs, Ear irrigation, Minor Suturing, Covid/Sick Clinic, POC testing for strep, Flu, and RSV, Routine Well Child Exams and vaccines, Covid Vaccines ages 5-18
ECU Health Chowan Hospital in Edenton is a 25-bed critical access hospital which provides programs and services to 110,000 people in 6 counties. It offers medical and surgical services, including intensive care, a specialty care clinic and a dedicated outpatient surgery area with endoscopy capabilities. A 7-bed emergency department serves approximately 16,000 patients per year.
