ECU Health Physicians and The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine are seeking a fellowship trained BE/BC Geriatric Psychiatrist. The successful candidate will join a growing academic division with a full-time tenure track appointment at the rank of professor or associate professor. Clinical assistant or clinical associate professor fixed term appointments are also available. New graduates and visa candidates are welcome to apply.
ECU Health and Acadia Healthcare have announced plans to build a state-of the-art, 144-bed behavioral health facility that will open in the spring of 2025. The new facility will include up to 24 inpatient beds dedicated to the mental health needs of geriatric patients.
The successful candidate will provide direct clinical care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities will also include teaching and clinical supervision of medical students, residents, and other health professional trainees and clinical research.

- Inpatient clinical responsibilities will be for consults only on the current 52 bed inpatient behavioral health unit
- Outpatient clinical responsibilities will included seeing patients at the ECU Health Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine outpatient clinic and the ECU Health Family Medicine Monk Geriatric Center
- Monday-Friday 8a – 5p schedule
