Position Overview:

SIH is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join our established team located at the SIH Cancer Institute. If you are interested in private practice employment with direct access to the resources of a large hospital system, this opportunity is for you.

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Partnership track after 2 years
  • Several Multidisciplinary Tumor Boards (breast, lung, GI and GU)
  • Well established team of clinicians

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency program in Radiation Oncology
  • Current certification in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology or by the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology 
  • Treatment techniques: IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS

The SIH Cancer Institute located in Carterville, IL is the answer to an unmet need in southern Illinois.  The region's only comprehensive community cancer center brings together specialty physicians, specialized allied practitioners and technology at a comprehensive freestanding outpatient facility, and provides multidisciplinary clinics in one location to streamline cancer diagnosis, planning and treatment. A $10 million dollar grant was recently awarded to the facility towards expansions. Services at SIH Cancer Institute include medical oncology, radiation oncology, oncologic surgery, supportive care, specialty clinics, clinical trials, infusion center, nurse navigation, survivorship, psychosocial support, cancer rehabilitation, spiritual care, financial counseling, and data management.
