Driscoll Children’s Hospital – Corpus Christi, Texas
The Driscoll Health System’s Division of Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine is seeking a Medical Director of Pediatric Hospital Medicine to lead and expand its dynamic team at Driscoll Children’s Hospital, a freestanding 243-bed tertiary care center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and visionary physician to shape a high-impact program within a major pediatric referral center serving 33 counties across South Texas.
About the Role:
As Medical Director, you will:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Pediatric Hospitalist program.
- Guide and support a growing team of Pediatric Hospitalists in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Oversee clinical operations and ensure optimal workflow, patient safety, and satisfaction.
- Develop and implement clinical policies, care protocols, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with hospital administration and pediatric subspecialists across a full range of services, including a 60-bed NICU, Pediatric ICU, Emergency Department, and surgical programs.
- Monitor and improve performance metrics, quality outcomes, and patient experience.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Board-certified in Pediatrics; Subspecialty certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of Pediatric Hospital Medicine experience.
- Demonstrated success in clinical leadership, team development, and quality improvement.
- Eligible for an unrestricted Texas medical license.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
