Duke Cancer Network has a community Hematology-Oncology per diem physician opportunity at a cancer treatment center in Clayton, NC. Less than 20 miles from Raleigh, the treatment center serves the fast-growing Triangle area of NC.

See 12-15 patients a day while you develop a general Hematologist-Oncologist practice with a clinical area of special interest on a well-resourced team. The treatment center is adjacent to a medical center and has on-site pharmacy and lab, with social workers, patient navigators, and dieticians available. You will join Duke Health colleagues at tumor boards and in clinical trials research. Call coverage is telephone, not inpatient, in rotation with fellow Duke Cancer Network physicians.

The Triangle area of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill is family-friendly, great for young singles as well, with numerous outdoor activities and rich social life. The Research Triangle Park, a globally prominent high-tech research and development center conceived around the three academic centers in the region, has made the area culturally diverse, economically resilient and nationally recognized as a great place to live.

Duke Health is a leading academic health care system transforming medicine and health locally and globally through innovative scientific research and rapid translation of breakthrough discoveries. We educate future clinical and scientific leaders, advocate and practice evidence-based medicine to improve community health, and invest in efforts to eliminate health inequalities.

Duke is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing employment opportunity without regard to an individual's age, color, disability, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, race, religion, (including pregnancy and pregnancy related conditions), sexual orientation, or military status.

Duke aspires to create a community built on collaboration, innovation, creativity, and belonging. Our collective success depends on the robust exchange of ideas—an exchange that is best when the rich diversity of our perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences flourishes. To achieve this exchange, it is essential that all members of the community feel secure and welcome, that the contributions of all individuals are respected, and that all voices are heard. All members of our community have a responsibility to uphold these values.
