Hospitalist Fellowship Program – Physicians – Aspirus Health

- Term: one year
- Opportunity to acclimate to the health system and hospitalist procedures
- Rotations include Cardiology, Critical Care, Surgery, Wound, Pharmacy, Nephrology, Neurology, and Hospitalist
- Physicians will have eight months of specialty rotations and four of supervised hospitalists
- Very flexible program with rotations and locations to fit the needs of the fellow
- Procedures taught:
- Paracentesis
- Thoracentesis
- Central lines
- Point of care ultrasound
- Potential for lumbar and puncture PICC if desired
Opportunity to have a post-fellowship job after completion of the fellowship with loan repayment available.

Specialty referral service emphasis exists in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedics and cancer. The hospital has an average daily inpatient census of 160 with approximately 15,000 admissions per year.
