Job SummaryNovant Health is looking for a compassionate, caring Advanced Practice Provider to join a critical care team of 8 physicians and 3 APPs in Wilmington, NC. This position is an inpatient only position. Rotation will alternate one week on / one week off between days and nights. This position will work holidays & weekends. Critical care experience required. Acute Care certification required for NPs.
- Rotation of day and night shift
- Night shift: Will work with nighttime intensivist providing cross-cover of patients, admits patients to MICU, responds to codes
Opportunity to work with internal medicine residents. Will learn to perform central lines, A-lines, intubations, simple bronchoscopies, chest tubes, critical care ultrasound - Day Shift: Will primarily be with the planned co-management service with cardiology to provide dedicated critical care coverage to CCU/CVICU (start date tentatively Summer 2026). Certain CME courses will be required. This position may also be expected to flex and support other daytime intensivists in the medical ICU

Education: Master's Degree required. Either a graduate of an NCCPA accredited physician assistant program, or NP or post Master's NP program required. Acute Care certification required for NPs.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current PA or Acute Care NP license in appropriate state required. NCCPA or registry with state nursing board, BLS, DEA registry required.
