Job Description

  • Level IV Trauma Center
  • Average Daily Encounters: 24 for hospitalist team
  • Open ICU with 5 beds
  • Rapid Response and Code Teams
  • Opportunity to provide care to both hospitalized and Skilled Nursing Facility Patients
  • Coverage: Day shift (7a-7p)-1 physician and 1 NP/PA; Night shift (7p-7a)-1 NP/PA with tele backup
  • EMR: Cerner
Physician Requirements:
  • Board certified/eligible: Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Procedures interest required: Central lines, Intubation and Arterial lines. Training Available.
  • J1 visa sponsorship

Physician Qualifications:

  • Vent Management Required. Training Available.
NP/PA Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Certification: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • 1+ years of hospitalist and/or ICU experience
  • Day shift: Procedures not required
  • Night shift: Run codes and rapid responses with physician backup. Procedures Required (Training Available): central lines, intubations and arterial lines. Vent Management Required (Training Available).

Otsego Memorial Hospital is a 46-bed facility in Gaylord, Michigan. It was founded in 1951 and has since aimed to offer comprehensive healthcare to the local community. They would have achieved Level IV Trauma designation and have imaging, surgery, and rehabilitation in-house while still being able to access all the specialties and resources of the Munson network.
