Psych Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Quincy IL

Behavioral Medicine is looking for another PMHNP to join their established group!
Currently new appointments are being booked 4-6  weeks out. This is a tight-knit group of providers with very little turnover.  They support one another in their day to day practices. 

Our Behavioral Health Department is robust with busy outpatient practice as well as inpatient; two Adult inpatient units and one Child & Adolescent unit. The units are licensed for 41 beds broken down as follows:  adult behavioral medicine has 10 beds, adult psychiatric service has 16 beds and the child and adolescent unit has 15 beds.  All rooms are semi-private or private and have outside windows.  The new units have inpatient space, outpatient clinic space, and an indoor and outdoor gym.  There are restraint / seclusion rooms and cameras for monitoring.  The provider’s offices are located in the adjoining medical office building along with the other Blessing providers. 

Geriatric patients typically stay on the medical unit or in the Skilled Nursing Facility where they reside.  Every Skilled Nursing Facility in Adams County is covered by a Psychiatrist so they do a good job of managing the patient in the Skilled Nursing Facility and they rarely get to a point of needing to be admitted.  Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield, Illinois (critical access hospital) has a 10 bed geri-psych unit.

Blessing Health System employs almost 300 physicians and advanced practice providers.  Blessing is the largest medical provider serving a 300,000+ population region composed of West Central Illinois, Northeast Missouri, and Southeast Iowa.  The System operates Blessing Hospital, a 347-bed regional referral center in Quincy, Illinois, (population 45,000) and Illini Community Hospital, a 25-bed critical access facility in Pittsfield, Illinois, (population 4,200).

Quincy is located two hours from St. Louis, three and a half hours from Kansas City, and four hours from Chicago.  Daily flights connect Quincy’s Baldwin Field with Chicago O’Hare International Airport, Lambert International in St. Louis and Amtrak provides two round trips daily to Chicago.
