Job Description

The Department of Surgery is looking for a dynamic individual to add to our growing Surgical Oncology practice with a focus in breast cancer/high-risk for developing breast cancer. This position will work collaboratively with our breast surgical oncologists in a high-volume clinical practice.

Duties would include conducting comprehensive health assessment and demonstrate a high level of autonomy in the evaluation, management, and treatment of a wide spectrum of patients with different medical problems and co-morbidities.  

This role will include evaluation of patients at high risk for developing breast cancer, as well as seeing breast cancer patients in follow-up. Obtaining and completing a focused history and physical, working collaboratively with the breast oncologists as part of the multidisciplinary care team.

Participate in educational and training activities to include regular attendance at teaching conferences and seminars.  

Participate in research studies and clinical trials will be a component of duties as determined by the establishment of studies and trials.

The candidate should be of high integrity, flexible, collaborative, self-motivated, detail oriented, efficient, and patient-centered. The candidate would report to the division chief or delegate and would be required to have an excellent relationship with resident physicians. The surgical oncology faculty are committed to providing an excellent collaborative learning and work environment.
