Urogynecology APP – AHMG Urogynecology at Church Ranch

AdventHealth Rocky Mountain region is seeking an experienced APP to support AHMG Urogynecology at Church Ranch with a primary focus on clinical services in the outpatient setting.  Delivery of patient care is conducted in collaboration with physicians, APPs, and care team members included but not limited to, physical exams, diagnosis and treatment, ordering and interpreting tests, counseling on preventative health, and writing prescriptions.  

Under administrative guidance and physician supervision, the APP will provide comprehensive Care to Female pelvic floor disorders such as Urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, vulvar disease, perimenopausal and postmenopausal care and mesh complications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluates and treats patients in-office with acute, chronic complaints and health maintenance concerns which include the following:

o   Assessment of patient health status through physical exam, reviewing patient history, diagnostic tests and procedures and reviewing labs and other critical data.

o   Diagnosis of acute and chronic conditions

o   Initiating orders for medications, laboratory and other diagnostic testing

o   Prescribing interventions and performing therapeutic measures to ensure the appropriate individualized plan of care is implemented.

• Implementing changes in drug treatment therapy as ordered by the physician(s) and/or healthcare providers
• Call coverage and Hospital rounding and performing tests such as urodynamics.
• Coordinating information flow among medical, ancillary, nursing, financial and insurance personnel

Qualifications - External

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of experience as an APP
• If Nurse Practitioner - must have successfully completed undergraduate and Master’s level-nursing programs, passed state boards, and achieved ARNP status.
• If Physician Assistant - must hold a baccalaureate degree, or a minimum of two years of college credits, and have graduated from a physician assistant program approved by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills
• Sound clinical judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to be accountable and committed to quality and safety
