Breast imaging is a significant recruitment priority for QITA as the practice continues to strengthen its onsite mammography coverage. This is an excellent opportunity for a radiologist seeking the autonomy and earning potential of private practice, a clear path to partnership, and the opportunity to focus heavily on breast imaging within an established, collaborative radiology group.

QITA has sufficient breast imaging volume to support physicians whose work is predominantly focused on mammography and breast imaging, while physicians who are comfortable reading a broader mix of general diagnostic studies are especially valuable to the practice. Breast imaging coverage is performed onsite.

Breast Imaging Practice

QITA provides breast imaging services throughout its Central Pennsylvania clinical network. Because of the group’s substantial imaging volume, dedicated breast imaging seats allow physicians to spend the majority of their clinical time interpreting mammography and other breast imaging studies.

Unlike QITA’s remote diagnostic opportunities, breast imaging requires onsite coverage. The practice is particularly interested in radiologists with strong mammography skills who are also comfortable contributing to general diagnostic radiology when needed.

Partnership Track & Compensation

QITA offers a structured path to becoming a shareholder.

During the first track year, physicians receive a salary and participate in their share of the group’s coverage responsibilities. Current first-year compensation is approximately $600K, with opportunities to increase earnings through additional shifts or internal moonlighting.

During the second track year, physicians are compensated similarly to shareholders and gain additional flexibility to buy, sell, or exchange certain shifts and coverage responsibilities. They function much like shareholders operationally, although they do not yet have voting rights.

A shareholder buy-in applies upon partnership and varies based on the valuation of the practice. QITA’s buy-in is comparatively lower than many private radiology groups because the organization does not carry substantial imaging-center ownership or similar capital expenses.

Candidate Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
• Breast imaging training and/or demonstrated mammography expertise
• Eligible for Pennsylvania medical licensure
• New graduates and fellows are welcome
• Comfortable working onsite for breast imaging coverage
• Ability or willingness to read general diagnostic studies is highly valued
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered breast imaging
