The Advance Practice Nurse (APN) is an expert clinician and patient advocate in a particular specialty or subspecialty of nursing practice. We are seeking a Cardiology APN or NP who provides direct patient care, including assessing, diagnosing, planning health promotion and preventive care within this specialized area of practice, and prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment of health problems according to established joint nursing/medical protocols. In addition to direct practice, the sub-roles of the Advance Practice Nurse role include education, research and consultation. The Advance Practice Nurse is involved in indirect practice activities with the goal of improving the quality of care across the continuum of care.

Job Essentials:

Provides oversight and administration of Cardiovascular Testing, Nuclear and non-nuclear stress


Education Requirements:

  • Master's Degree required
  • Certified in Specialty required

 

License/Certification/Registry:

  • Current NJ State Advanced Practice Nurse License
  • Current BLS and ACLS
  • Current CDS license
  • Current DEA license
  • IV Certification
