A Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) is an advanced practice registered nurse in nurse midwifery. This type of medical professional focuses on the care and well-being of women during pregnancy and during the postpartum period. This type of specialty may work in a clinic, within a private practice, at a birthing center, or work at in a home for an at home delivery.
