Trauma Surgery Opportunity at Level 2 Trauma Center

Penn Highlands Healthcare is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Trauma team at Penn Highlands Dubois. Trauma PAs will work collaboratively with primary care physicians and other advanced practice providers to provide quality care at Penn Highlands Dubois in Dubois, PA.

Penn Highlands Dubois has a new state-of-the-art Emergency Department with level 2 Trauma designation now open and treating patients! The addition also has a Neurological/Trauma Intensive Care unit on the second floor. This unit includes 20 private patient rooms.

Highlights of the new ED include:

  • The eight-bay Vertical Care Unit for patients with minor ailments to receive expedited care.
  • Four trauma treatment bays.
  • Four rooms to support patients with behavioral health needs.
  • Treatment rooms with greater privacy for pediatric patients and assault victims.

Position Details:

  • Six 12 hour shifts and one 8 hour shift per pay period
  • Shifts will be 7a-7p or 7p-7a
  • No call requirement
  • Covers trauma surgery and emergency general surgery
  • ATLS is required
