Neurology APP

Midland Health is seeking Board-Certified APP with neurology experience to join one of the best multi-specialty groups in West Texas, Premier Physicians. Midland Health and Premier Physicians are currently serving the Permian Basin and its surrounding communities, with catchment area boasting 450,00 people. Premier is seeking a dynamic and team orientated APP to join its outpatient Neurology team of three Neurologists and one Advanced Practice Provider in Midland, Texas.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant Master’s Program
• Certified as National Commissioned Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required
• Texas License
• Minimum three years of experience in related specialized area strongly preferred. Experience as a Neurology APP required

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive care for patients with neurological disorders or injuries. This can include anything from routine checkups to diagnosing and treating conditions such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, Brain tumors, Headache, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Lumbar Radiculopathy, Multiple Sclerosis, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, and Spinal Cord Injuries, and etc.

• Outpatient Clinic Hours Mon-Thurs 8-5 PM Friday 8-12 PM
• Preform physical examinations, treat sleep-related issues, strokes, migraine, and memory loss
• Collaborate with attending provider on diagnosis and treatment
• Communicating with other medical professionals to ensure that all aspects of treatment are followed and if needed referrals sent
• Providing patients with information about their diagnosis and treatment options
• Ordering or interpreting diagnostic tests such as MRIs or EEGs
• Prescribing medications and monitoring patients’ responses to treatment
• Evaluating patients to determine if they are suitable candidates for surgery or other procedures
