The chosen candidate will play a key role in augmenting and developing our breast reconstruction program, participate in the education of residents and fellows, and contribute to the future of our division.
The MUSC Department of Surgery in Charleston is a leading academic surgical center committed to delivering compassionate, high?quality patient care, training future surgical leaders, and advancing innovation through cutting?edge clinical, translational, and basic research. Anchored by MUSC Health University Medical Center—an 865?bed, Level I adult and pediatric trauma facility with the state’s only National Cancer Institute–designated Hollings Cancer Center—the department offers comprehensive residency and fellowship programs spanning general surgery, cardiothoracic, vascular, plastic and hand, trauma, transplant, pediatric, oncologic, endocrine, colorectal, and minimally invasive surgery.
The Division of Plastic, Reconstructive & Hand Surgery at MUSC boasts fully accredited programs for both integrated residency and independent fellowship training, as well as a postgraduate microsurgery fellowship. The Division provides comprehensive care in reconstructive, aesthetic, craniofacial, hand, and microsurgical procedures, serving patients across five hospitals in Charleston. We are seeking to expand our faculty portfolio as current clinical demand necessitates the addition of more surgeons and residents to meet the growing population in Charleston.
