Acuity International is actively hiring a Board-Certified General Surgeon to join our globally deployed medical team in the Marshall Islands. This is a rare opportunity to deliver meaningful surgical care in a remote, purpose-driven setting while working within a collaborative, U.S.-standard treatment model.

Location: Marshall Islands (Travel to Kwajalein Required)

The General Surgeon provides pre-, intra-, and post-operative care, including patient stabilization and coordination of evacuations when necessary. You’ll work with local hospitals, manage surgical cases, and play a key role in emergency response.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality surgical care in accordance with U.S. standards
  • Stabilize and coordinate medevac for critical patients
  • Document all care delivered and required follow-ups
  • Participate in quality improvement meetings and Mass Casualty Exercises
  • Uphold patient dignity and advocate for safety and ethical treatment
  • Support day-to-day operations and ensure safe working conditions
  • Use email, scheduling, and documentation software tools

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of post-residency experience
  • Clinical experience within the past 12 months required
  • Completion of U.S.-based or Western-equivalent General Surgery Residency
  • U.S. or Canadian Board Certified in General Surgery
  • Current unrestricted U.S. medical license
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License and U.S. Passport (6+ months validity)
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Required Certifications (Current & Maintained):

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR
  • HIPAA compliance training
  • TCCC or comparable trauma training preferred
  • Trauma fellowship strongly considered

Additional Requirements:

  • Sign and comply with International Assignment Agreement (IAA)
  • Favorably adjudicated CNACI background investigation
  • Pass drug screening and security checks
  • Proficiency with standard word processing and documentation software
  • Commitment to corporate safety standards and cleanliness

Physical & Work Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
  • Must be deemed "medically and dentally fit" per Acuity guidelines
  • Indoor clinical setting with required air travel to Kwajalein
