Anesthesiologist Assistant Facility Medical Director in Rome, GA

TeamHealth is currently seeking and Assistant Facility Medical Director to support our Facility Medical Director at AdventHealth Redmond located in Rome, Georgia. The ideal candidate will be a board-certified or board-eligible, cardiac anesthesia fellowship trained (preferred) or cardiac comfortable Anesthesiologist who possess outstanding communication skills and demonstrates leadership qualities, all while being committed to professional development and creating a desirable workplace environment. 

In this key role, the Assistant Facility Medical Director oversees the physician scheduling, serves as Anesthesia representation at facility meetings, is responsive to surgeon and administration needs, as well as aids the Facility Medical Director ensuring compliance with protocols and practice standards.  

Opportunity Overview

• Physicians perform cardiac and structural heart cases in addition to a variety of other cases including general, ENT, gastro, vascular, bariatric, ortho, podiatry, urology, neuro, ophthalmology, oral, plastics, radiology
• No OB, no transplants
• 14 state-of-the-art operating rooms
• Rotating coverage at the Surgery Center of Rome, a four-room ASC with a dedicated team of experienced full-time anesthetists  
• Over 16,000 surgical cases annually (10,000 at hospital; 6,000 at ASC)

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in anesthesiology
• Fellowship training in cardiac anesthesiology is preferred
• Current and unrestricted medical license to practice in Georgia
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
