Driscoll Health System is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Nocturnist to join our inpatient pediatric team at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. This newly created position supports our growing pediatric program and offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality, family-centered care during overnight hours.

Position Highlights:

• New opportunity driven by organizational growth and expansion
• Schedule: 7 PM – 7 AM shifts; no travel required
• 24/7 in-house coverage
• EPIC EMR System utilized throughout the facility
• Faculty appointment available through Texas A&M University and other affiliate medical schools
• Active involvement in the pediatric residency program through clinical teaching and mentorship

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medical care for pediatric inpatients, including:
• Overnight admissions
• Daily rounding responsibilities (as needed)
• Patient discharges
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals
• Ensure clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and referring providers
• Supervise and mentor residents and medical students (if applicable)
• Support the development and implementation of hospital-wide pediatric care protocols
• Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation

Qualifications:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatrics residency
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics or Pediatric Hospital Medicine
• Commitment to high-quality, evidence-based pediatric care
