Overview

An EM Assistant Director will have the opportunity to work alongside a supportive team to deliver excellence in patient care. Assistant directors are expected to support the EM director in overseeing the operations of the emergency department in collaboration with the nursing staff and hospital leadership.

Details

  • Supports the EM Director in overseeing the operations of the ED in collaboration with nursing leadership and hospital administration
  • Helps with the supervision of the emergency medical staff, per the bylaws, policies, and procedures of the institution
  • Represents the ED in the community and within the hospital medical staff

Salary

  • Excellent compensation package with an estimated employed W-2 range of $152/hour to $278/hour. PLUS, industry-leading benefits including: $75,000 of Equity Ownership given to all full-time physicians after 2 years of employment, up to $35,000/year from our 10% company-funded 401(k), $4,000/year of tax-free BEA/CME ($6,500 plus State and DEA license fees in year one for new graduates), 100% Paid Parental leave, 100% Paid Military leave, Comprehensive Medical/Dental/Vision/Rx coverage, Short- and Long-term disability (own occupation) and Medical Malpractice with tail and free litigation support. Emergency Department

  • ED Volume: 45,000
  • ED Beds: 55
  • Staffing Model: 39 hours of day physician coverage; 40 hours of day APP coverage

  • Observation services are also provided and managed by USACS, serving as a catalyst for excellent interdepartmental communication and collaboration between the ED and OBS

Observation Unit

  • Approximately 12,000 obs patients/year
  • EMR: Cerner 
  • OBS Beds: 24—exclusively for emergency medicine patients
  • Median patient length of stay <22 hours
  • National observation program support and oversight
