Cardiothoracic Surgeon Needed at Deaconess Health System!

• Employed by Deaconess Specialty Physicians working in Evansville, IN, Newburgh IN
  • Serving patients in the tri-state region of Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky
• Candidates should be BC/BE in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Candidate must have completed a CT Surgery fellowship and be proficient in coronary artery bypass grafting, mitral valve and aortic valve replacements, and experienced in TAVR procedures working with a skilled structural heart team, and additional minimally invasive and open surgical capabilities
• Competitive base salary with competitive tiered wRVU compensation
• Call pay salary with schedule of 1:3

• Call coverage is anticipated 1:3 weekday/weekend call
• 2 surgeons supported by 3 surgical PAs in the clinic setting and hospital setting
• Successful outreach clinics staffed by the Deaconess Heart Group Office in Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois
• Two dedicated OR suites at the Gateway hospitals with construction anticipated to be complete fall of 2025 on a hybrid OR suite.
• Dedicated office based device staff to manage incoming referrals and scheduling
• Established lead extraction program
• High volume surgical program with physicians working above the 75^th percentile
• Evansville/Henderson is a strong community with robust local economy and high performing schools. Great area for hunting, fishing, watersports, and families.  Low cost of living and close proximity to other large cities: Louisville, Nashville, St. Louis and Indianapolis are all within 2 ½ hour drive or less

Full-time position at 40 hours per week.  This is an inpatient and outpatient practice.
