Summary

Kaiser Permanente-Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking a (0.50 FTE) Nocturnist to join our Hospitalist team. This position is split between St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, and St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale, Washington.

Kaiser Permanente is contracted with St. Joseph Medical Center, a 366-bed General Hospital that serves the surrounding communities of Pierce and South King County areas. When admitted to St. Joseph Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente Members are cared for by a team of Washington Permanente Medical Group (WPMG) Hospitalists who manage the member's care during their hospital stay. The Hospitalists also work alongside Kaiser Care Management Nurses for care plans to discharge. While at St. Joseph Medical Center, Kaiser Permanente members have access to Kaiser Permanente Cardiology, General Medical and Surgical, OB/GYN, Oncology, Orthopedic, Urologist and Ears, Nose and Throat specialist. 

St. Michael's Medical Center, founded in 1918, is a CHI Franciscan hospital and serves patients from Kitsap, North Mason, Clallam, and Jefferson counties. St. Michael's is a 242-bed level III Trauma Center. It has 20 ICU beds and boasts an efficient 34 private exam rooms at the Emergency Department. It is home to award winning cardiovascular services including open-heart surgery. There are no WPMG physicians in the hospital except for our Hospitalists. Specialty care is contracted through the local providers.

Compensation and Benefits

The entire salary range for this position is $298,506 to $351,184 and will be prorated based on FTE. Placement of new hires will be in the range of $298,506 to $333,625 based on factors such as education, training or experience.

Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life, and disability insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, receive employer contributions to the 401(k) plan, and enroll in our cash balance pension plan. Employees will also receive four weeks of paid vacation leave every year and eight paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and will receive continuing medical education leave and funding.
