Summary

Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking a dedicated, compassionate hourly locum physician to join our dynamic Palliative Care team, providing both inpatient and outpatient services. We welcome qualified candidates who are board-eligible or board-certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine or Geriatrics. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver patient-centered care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, supporting individuals and their families through complex medical journeys.

Our interdisciplinary team engages with patients who are living with serious illness. Our Palliative Medicine Physicians work directly with the patient and their families and caregivers, and their Primary Care and Specialty providers, to create a customized holistic plan of care. Our goal is to improve patient and caregiver quality of life on their terms and optimize service by aligning clinical care with patient values and goals. Location: This position is based at our Tacoma Campus. Depending on shift preference could also include opportunities to work in Bellevue and Seattle. 

Tacoma Medical Center is a multispecialty medical center. Lab, Radiology and Pharmacy on site. Office hours are 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday with Urgent Care open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Compensation and Benefits

The entire hourly rate range for this position is $145.20 to $162.08 per hour. Placement of new hires will be in the range of $139.61 to $155.84 based on factors such as education, training or experience.

Benefits include: Full malpractice indemnification (including tail coverage), employer contributions to social security.
