About the Pediatric Cardiologist/Advanced Cardiac Imaging Position

The Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin and Dell Children’s Medical Center (DCMC) is seeking a full-time pediatric cardiologist with additional fellowship training in advanced cardiac imaging to support our rapidly growing team within the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease (TCPCHD). 

Essential Functions:

  • Provide exceptional patient care, leadership, and innovation alongside a team of cardiologists and advanced practice providers
  • Education and research are encouraged and supported
  • Collaborate with research professionals including a statistician, research manager, and research coordinators.
  • Program development and growth
  • Foster an environment that emphasizes patient care, team building, safety, quality and access for imaging services
  • Work closely with the Chief of Pediatric Cardiology and the leadership of the TCPCHD to execute on yearly personal and programmatic goals focused on the fundamentals of extraordinary care
  • Partner with the Department of Radiology and various departments from UT Health and The University of Texas at Austin
  • Provision of patient care in the outpatient clinic
  • Inpatient consultation
  • Supervision of advanced practice providers
  • Hospital service

:

  • Unrestricted Texas medical license (or the ability to obtain prior to appointment)
  • Board-certified/eligible in Pediatric Cardiology within two (2) years of completion of training
  • Advanced fellowship training in the area of Cardiac MRI, Cardiac CT, and associated imaging modalities
  • Eligible for faculty appointment within the Department of Pediatrics
  • Preference for experience at higher volume centers and demonstrated ability in advanced imaging
  • Preference for experience/education in medical administration and clinical research
