Elevate Pediatric Emergency Medicine Care- Join St. Luke's Children's Hospital

St. Luke’s University Health Network, the region’s largest, most established health system, a major teaching hospital, and one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals is seeking a per diem Board Certified fellowship trained Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dedicated team of physicians providing excellent care at the Network’s first pediatric emergency department

 

As a result of the growth and investment in pediatric services, St. Luke’s recently announced the establishment of St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital at the Bethlehem Campus. We are looking for providers who are excited about growth and new opportunities to join our team!

 

About the Department of Emergency Medicine and St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital:

 

  • Robust 14 campus Network spread over a diverse geographic area providing emergency care for over 320,000 patients annually.
  • Luke’s emergency medicine program includes comprehensive stroke centers, 4 PCI centers, a level 1 trauma center, a level 2 trauma center and four level 4 trauma centers.
  • In addition to patient care, the emergency department also supports and trains emergency medicine residents at two separate emergency medicine residencies at St. Luke’s University Hospital – Bethlehem (36 residents) and St. Luke’s Anderson Campus (30 residents).
  • Luke’s Children’s Hospital and Department of Pediatrics consist of inpatient, emergency medicine, primary and specialty care providers spread across a variety of practice locations.
  • In 2023, St. Luke’s announced the establishment of St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital at the Bethlehem Campus and is a proud member of the Children’s Hospital Association.
  • The Pediatric Emergency Department is a 6 bed unit located within St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital and will expand to 11 beds at the completion of an ongoing construction project.
  • Luke’s Children’s Hospital is also home to a newly renovated 17 bed Inpatient Pediatric Unit and 8 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
  • The department is supported by a growing team of pediatric specialists spanning 40 specialty areas including pediatric surgery, GI, endocrinology, nephrology, developmental pediatrics, neurology, cardiology, dermatology, psychiatry, pulmonology, radiology, anesthesia, orthopedics, plastic surgery, and more!
  • Luke’s Pediatric Specialty Center, the region’s first and only freestanding building completely dedicated to providing care for pediatric patients opened in the Spring of 2022. The center provides easy and convenient access for children and families in a pediatric friendly environment with a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Luke’s Pediatrics also provides an extensive base of pediatric primary care offices spread across the St. Luke’s service area.
  • Luke’s Children’s Hospital recently started our first pediatric residency program with 6 residents per year.
