Aspirus Health is seeking a Medical Director of Medical Informatics (.5FTE). The physician will serve as an advisor and provides physician and APC perspective in decisions about strategic direction for clinical systems and improving the user electronic health record (EHR) experience.
Working with a multidisciplinary team, the medical informaticist will dedicate approximately .5 of their FTE to:
- Offer strategic leadership to enhance physician practice, support operational needs, comply with regulations, and establish a foundation for medical informatics.
- Translate vision regarding technology functionality and usability into strategies with clear objectives and practical action plans providing clear guidelines for meeting goals.
- Improve the EHR (EPIC)experience among frontline users through rounding, data analytics, and adoption of EHR best practices.
- Exercise strong change management skills to assist in EHR and other clinical system implementations, integrations, upgrades, and enhancement adoption across the system.
- Provide clinical leadership in evaluating, implementing, and advancing the diffusion of health information technology at Aspirus, with an emphasis on optimization and utilization of the electronic health record.
- Maintain department specific accountabilities as determined, maintained, and housed within each unit’s Scope of Service.
- Identify opportunities to improve patient experience. Participates in projects/programs designed to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction.

To qualify for this position, we require the physician have:
- Three years of clinical practice experience
- A license to practice medicine
- Board certification in a clinical specialty necessary
