- Education: DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or DMD (Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry) from an accredited dental school.
- Licensure: Current dental license (or eligibility to obtain licensure by start date) in Idaho.
- Certification: DEA license, Idaho controlled substance registration, NPI number, current BLS.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience practicing general dentistry or 1-year GPR/AEGD, preferred, but new graduates are also welcome to apply.

Patient Management and Documentation:
- Perform Key Responsibilities using a high level of skills and ability.
- Administer anesthetics and prescribe medications.
- See/treat 15 -25 patients per 10-hour clinical day, or as determined by clinic needs.
- Provide routine and emergency dental services, including diagnosis and treatment plans, general restorative procedures, crown and bridge, removable prosthetics, uncomplicated endodontics, and oral surgery or additional duties as directed by the Clinic Dental Director.
- Review medical history of patient at each visit; consult with the primary health care provider as indicated.
- Diagnose dental disease, oral pathology, and develop a written treatment plan, prioritizing treatments and report findings to the patient (caregiver or guardian).
- Explain the course of treatment to the patient; solicit his/her input and agreement.
- Manage difficult clients and patients, demonstrating interpersonal savvy (good listening, showing sincerity and empathy, and being trustworthy) and foster a high level of customer service.
General
- Represent Heritage Health at conferences, meetings, and continuing education programs.
- Utilize computers for data entry and information retrieval with proficiency.
- Utilize and monitor effectiveness and efficiency of all equipment and supplies used in the delivery of dental services.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
