Assistant Medical Director - Emergency Medicine | 1 Hour from Birmingham

Core Clinical Partners is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine physician to join our team at Regional Medical Center (RMC) Anniston as Assistant Medical Director. Located just an hour from Birmingham and 90 minutes from Atlanta, RMC is a Level III Trauma Center offering a dynamic, well-supported clinical environment and a chance to make a meaningful impact in a community-focused setting.

This leadership opportunity is ideal for a clinically strong physician who is ready to step into a dyad role, working closely with the Medical Director and Core’s clinical team to elevate quality, foster collaboration, and drive operational performance.

Facility Highlights

• Trauma Designation: Level III Trauma Center
• Annual ED Volume: ~40,000 visits
• ED Layout: 28 standard treatment beds + 7 Fast Track beds
• Coverage Model:
• 36 hours of daily physician coverage
• 36 hours of daily APP coverage
• EMR: Paragon, enhanced with AI-powered scribe technology to support workflow and reduce documentation burden

Position Responsibilities

• Partner with the Medical Director in departmental oversight, including quality, and clinician engagement
• Support onboarding and training for new team members
• Participate in site-level performance improvement and clinical operations initiatives
• Model clinical excellence during shifts and serve as an on-site leader
• Collaborate with Core leadership on recruitment and retention strategies

Qualifications

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM), Family Medicine, 
  • or Internal Medicine with significant emergency department experience.
• Alabama license preferred or ability to obtain
• Prior leadership experience strongly preferred
