The Internal Medicine Residency Program at Moses Cone Hospital, a university affiliated, community teaching program that is sponsored by Cone Health in Greensboro, N.C. seeks an academic general Internist to join as a (0.5) part-time faculty. This role is for clinician educators interested in teaching residents and students, in both inpatient and outpatient settings, in a general Internal Medicine program. Faculty must be board certified in Internal Medicine with experience in teaching. Our program is affiliated with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Our eight core faculty are dedicated clinician-educators who are well supported to serve as mentors to residents and students. Clinical reasoning, evidence-based medicine, and the practical use of medical informatics are emphasized. Physician wellness and fostering resiliency are highly valued. Faculty will typically attend on the inpatient resident team 12 weeks a year, have a continuity clinic at least one-half day per week, and precept residents in the outpatient Internal Medicine center. This position has at least 20% protected time for educational activities and faculty development. Evening call is done by phone, and weekend/holiday call is split evenly amongst the faculty.
