Job Description

 

Tenet Healthcare is actively seeking a general surgeon to join a private practice group founded in 1984 in the Phoenix Metro area; This is a multi-specialty (Board Certified Surgeons) General Surgery group in private practice with highly skilled physicians in Advanced Robotic Procedures. The group currently has 10 Surgeons and 2 APP’s working in the Phoenix Area and are looking to expand to support the need of the community.

Highlights:

  • Typical Work Week Schedule: Monday-Friday (approximately 50 hours)
  • Inpatient/Outpatient/Rounding: 2 half day clinics per week, daily patient rounds. Optimal 50/50 inpatient/outpatient
  • Census & Volume: New providers start with 1 - 2 half day clinic(s) a week, frequency will be advanced based off volume and patient need(s) Surgery volume will vary; inpatient, hospital call frequency, ER consults and outpatient
  • Call: 5 primary calls and 1 back up call each month, additional stipend paid after base amount exceeded per pay policy.
  • Equipment/Resources Available: Da Vinci Robot
  • Ancillary Staff: APPs, MAs, Schedulers, Surgery schedulers

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree required
  • BE/BC
  • Arizona licensed or eligible to obtain licensure in the State of Arizona
  • Special Skills/Training Preferenaces: Robotic Trained
