Orange City Area Health System (OCAHS) is seeking an Optometrist certified by the NBEO (National Board of Examiners in Optometry) to join its expanding group of providers as its first Optometrist. Board certification by the American Board of Optometry is encouraged but not required.
• Ideal candidate is one interested in providing comprehensive optometric services, including specialty lens fittings and pediatrics
• Previous work experience preferred but not required

Orange City Area Health System is a comprehensive health system with 600 employees, encompassing three family medicine clinics, a walk-in clinic, ER/emergency medicine, sports medicine clinic, behavioral health clinic, pain management clinic, award-winning hospital, birth center, surgical center, radiology and laboratory services, occupational health services, specialty outreach services, physical and occupational therapy, home health and hospice, a retirement community, and a senior care center. The health system main campus is situated on 37 acres, including a pond with fountain. OCAHS operates under a management agreement with Sanford Health, which includes the Epic platform and other resources.

Orange City Area Health Services is a 25-bed critical access hospital built in 2006. All services can be found on this one campus, from the clinic to the outpatient center. Some of the amenities of this location include a diagnostic center with a 1.5 Tesla MRI that is 2 years old, digital mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, and three ultrasounds just to name a few.
You would be working with two Radiologists with Boards in internal medicine, neuro radiology and nuclear imaging. Three ORs, 1 endo suite and a dedicated outpatient area with state-of-the-art equipment are also a big attraction. The ambulance is hospital ran. The facility is up on electronic medical records with CPOE live in the clinic.
