Opportunity Overview:
U.S. Physiatry is seeking a board-certified Physiatrist for a high-impact Medical Director locum tenens assignment at Baylor Scott & White – Lakeway, one of the top rehabilitation hospitals in the country. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a highly regarded inpatient rehab setting in the heart of Austin, TX.


Assignment Details:

  • Facility: Baylor Scott & White – Lakeway Rehabilitation

  • Schedule: Monday–Sunday coverage (8-hour rounding + pager call as assigned)

  • EMR: Pinpoint integrated with AI dictation

  • Support: Full internal medicine coverage for all non-rehab medical needs


Compensation Package:

  • $2,000 per 8-hour day (rounding)

  • $325 per hour for overtime

  • $500 pager fee per night for on-call coverage

  • $325 per hour if called in while on call

Skills:

  • Experience leading or rounding in an inpatient rehab setting

  • Comfortable managing a 20-bed census in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team

  • Strong understanding of CMS documentation and regulatory compliance

  • Excellent communication skills with both staff and patients

  • Confident decision-making in Medical Director responsibilities

  • Proficiency with electronic medical records, especially Pinpoint or similar platforms

  • Ability to manage weekend or evening rehab-related pager call professionally

  • Board Certification (or eligibility) in PM&R required

  • Active TX license preferred (IMLC eligible physicians welcome to apply)
