Community-Focused General Dentist Opportunity in Sunny Fort Lauderdale, FL

Broward HealthPoint, an affiliate of Broward Health, is seeking a compassionate and experienced General Dentist to join our outpatient community health team at the Cora E. Braynon Health Center in Fort Lauderdale.  This position offers the unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing high-quality dental care to a diverse and underserved patient population in a supportive, team-based setting.

We provide comprehensive primary and preventive care- including dental, medical, and behavioral health services- to patients of all ages.

Position Highlights:

  • Provide general dental care including exams, cleanings, restorations, simple extractions, and preventive services for patients of all ages.
  • Educate patients on oral health, hygiene, and preventive care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records (EHR).
  • Collaborate with medical and behavioral health providers to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical peer reviews.
  • Uphold the mission of community-based care with a focus on dignity, respect and access for all.

Qualifications:

  • DMD or DDS from an accredited dental school. 
  • Current Florida dental license in good standing or ability to obtain.
  • Minimum of 2-years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates with strong community health interest are welcome to apply.
  • Experience working in a community health or FQHC setting a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to serving vulnerable populations.
