Internal Medicine GME Residency Program Director

St. Mary Medical Center is seeking an Internal Medicine GME Residency Program Director in Apple Valley, California. This is a 0.5 FTE position where you will lead an Internal Medicine residency program to ensure the residency program meets ABIM, ACGME, the Joint Commission and other regulatory standards for accreditation. You will also provide active leadership and effective advocacy for the residents and residency program, mentor faculty, model a balanced approach to clinical, teaching, medical staff and personal responsibilities, as well as ensure the residency remains viable financially and is integrated into the structure of the primary teaching site. This is an opportunity to be shape a vital residency program while helping to lead a new generation of Internal Medicine physicians.

• Part-time role at 0.5 FTE
• Must be a board-certified Internal Medicine physician
• Active medical licensure and appropriate medical staff appointment with ongoing clinical activity over the last 12 months
• 3+ years’ educations administrative experience working in a GME program required
• Present or past faculty appointment at a medical school as well as teaching/residency experience is highly preferred
• Demonstrated leadership skills required
• Compensation is between $145,542 and $175,326 per year
• The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and may include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, hospital/ED call stipends, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above
