Pacific Central Coast Health Centers (PHC), part of Dignity Health, a leading non-profit healthcare system, is seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to join our thriving practice in beautiful Santa Maria, California. What We Offer:

  • Competitive Compensation: Total compensation ranges from $300,000 to $375,000 (inclusive of base salary and performance incentives), plus a sign-on bonus of up to $50,000 and relocation assistance up to $20,000.

  • Work-Life Balance: Full-time employment is preferred, but part-time may be considered. The current schedule is Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5pm and Friday 8am-12pm. The schedule includes a mix of outpatient and inpatient duties.
  • Supportive Team: Join a team of 1 Psychiatrist, 1 Physician Assistant, and 2 Licensed Psychiatric Technicians.
  • Professional Environment: Work with Cerner EMR in a collaborative and dynamic setting.
  • Impactful Work: Focus on assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, medication management, and discharge planning for adult patients (18+). Pediatrics are seen by Santa Barbara County Behavioral Wellness staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans and interventions.
  • Provide medication management.
  • Enter orders for tests, medications, and therapies.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and outpatient follow-up care.
  • Provide consult liaison inpatient services (4-6 hours per day).

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Medical License.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
