MFM Academic faculty position with Texas Tech Physicians

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center – Lubbock, TX

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is actively recruiting a Board Certified/Board Eligible Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist to join its growing academic practice in Lubbock, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an established academic institution with a commitment to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research.

We are seeking motivated candidates who are interested in a full-time faculty position with opportunities for growth, including potential for Division Chief appointment for experienced candidates. New graduates and practicing physicians are both encouraged to apply.


Position Highlights:

  • Academic faculty position with Texas Tech Physicians, a multispecialty medical group.

  • Opportunities for teaching, research, and leadership, depending on candidate interest and experience.

  • Outpatient-focused role with optional inpatient call or L&D participation.

  • Robust patient base: 300–500 patients/month, approx. 100 per week in clinic.

  • Onsite access to ultrasound and NST, with procedures including amniocentesis.

  • EMR: Currently using Cerner, transitioning to Epic in 2026.

  • Located at TTUHSC School of Medicine, 3601 4th Street, Lubbock, TX 79430.


Candidate Requirements:

  • MD, DO, or MBBS

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine

  • Eligible for Texas medical license

  • H1B visa candidates welcome


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary: $400,000 (negotiable, Patient Load and experience considered)

  • Sign-on bonus: Negotiable

  • Relocation assistance: Up to $10,000

  • CME allowance: $3,500 and up to 20 days

  • Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life, retirement)

  • Malpractice insurance provided (occurrence-based)

  • Faculty discounts are available through TTU system

  • Stipend possible for final 6 months of fellowship
