Position Overview:
Mercy Health – the Neuroscience Institute is seeking a dedicated, board-certified (or board-eligible) Neurohospitalist to join our collaborative neurology team. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a multidisciplinary environment within a hospital setting, focusing on the diagnosis and management of acute neurological conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical acumen in inpatient neurology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
As a Neurohospitalist, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive neurological care to hospitalized patients and working closely with specialists across neurology, neurosurgery, critical care, and internal medicine. This is a full-time position with a week on, week off schedule and no outpatient responsibilities, offering opportunities for academic involvement, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical research, if desired.

Inpatient Neurology consists of 2 rounding services at St. Vincent Hospital and 1 Metro rounding service - St. Charles, St. Anne, & Perrysburg Hospitals (3 small community hospitals within 10 miles). Acute neurology and stroke call covered by dedicated service. The Institute includes a Level 1 Trauma Center, a Level 3 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, and Comprehensive Stroke Accreditation, as well as a dedicated neurocritical care unit. Access to 2, 1.2 Tesla high-field open MRIs and 24/7 MRI services along with Physical Therapy services, and Neuropsychology are available.
