Job Description

About this role:  

As an Ob-Gynecology Physician you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will work at Patterson OBGYN and Midwifery Clinic and St. Mary’s Regional Hospital.  

  • You’ll work collaboratively with a total of 8 OBGYNs, 3 OB Hospitalists, and 6 Certified Midwives
  • Enjoy a mix of OB hospitalist, clinic shifts, and back up call shifts:
    • OB Hospitalist Shifts: 12-hour Nocturnist shifts and 24-hour Laborist shifts
    • Clinic Shifts: Full scope OBGYN clinic practice seeing 16-24 patients a day

Hospitalist Shift Details:

  • Coverage of Labor & Delivery (L&D) and emergency GYN services
  • Managing all group-related admissions and rounding
  • Accept transfers from outside hospitals (approx. 175 per year)
  • Handling OB ED triage – average 0-10 triage per 24-hour shift
  • Performing scheduled C-sections and occasionally scheduled suction D&Cs as needed
  • Approximately 1,300 deliveries annually

Collaborating with:

  • A backup OBGYN always available for assistance
  • Certified Nurse Midwives for low-risk deliveries and C-section assistance
  • Family Practice residents (always on call)
  • GYN Oncology specialists (available as needed)
  • MFM sonographers available M-Fri, MFM on call by phone consult 24/7
  • Working alongside a Level III NICU team

Compensation:  

Clinic: $2340 per 10-hour shift

OB Hospitalist: $4680 per 24-hour shift, $2340 per 12-hour shift

Back Up Call: $936 per 24-hour back up call shift

  

What you’ll bring:  

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience required
  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine  
  • ACGME accredited residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology  
  • ABMS board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology  
  • Active, unobstructed Colorado medical license, or the ability to obtain one  
  • BLS certification and DEA
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
  • We are not able to accept candidates requiring Visa sponsorship at this time
