Valley Health System, in affiliation with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, is actively recruiting a Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrician to join the team as Medical Director of the Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics Program
This is an extraordinary opportunity for a compassionate, dedicated, and forward-thinking Outpatient Developmental/Behavioral or Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician to lead a well-established practice into the future.
Position Summary:
The Developmental/Behavioral or Neurodevelopmental Pediatric program provides consultation and other professional services as part of the Valley Medical Group and Valley-Mount Sinai Children’s Health Service line in northern New Jersey. This provider would lead a team of three developmental specialists and therapists to provide clinical expertise in early childhood development, behavioral, and psychosocial issues. The Kireker Center for Child Development (KCCD) offers a broad spectrum of services, including speech, physical, and occupational therapy. A complete audiology service is also available on-site at the KCCD.
In addition, this clinician provides consultation, education and outreach for our clinicians, clients, and interested community groups, schools, childcare programs, parent groups and more while supporting our broader community-based services for special needs populations. The physician in this role will also participate in Department of Pediatrics activities, KCCD and Hospital Committee meetings as deemed appropriate by the Chair.
Clinical requirements include the ability to obtain a comprehensive neurodevelopmental/ neurobehavioral history, including a pertinent medical history for pediatric patients, perform a neurodevelopmental/neurobehavioral evaluation.
In this position, you will be part of a larger multi-specialty group including experienced providers in Endocrinology, Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine, Food Allergy, Cardiology, and PM&R, all in collaboration with the Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital and the Mount Sinai Health System. Academic appointments at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital are possible based on previous academic ranking and productivity.

Minimum base salary of $191,600. Competitive compensation models include generous wRVU productivity incentive with the opportunity to grow, uncapped.
