Deaconess is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal or Family Medicine Physician – Outpatient & Hospitalist Role Deaconess Illinois Specialty Clinic to join our team in Red Bud, IL.  This is a hybrid role that combines outpatient primary care with inpatient hospitalist responsibilities.  The outpatient clinic is well-established and supported by two experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), offering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal or Family Medicine.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Illinois or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Strong clinical skills in infectious disease diagnosis and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Outpatient Care (Clinic-Based)

  • Provide comprehensive adult primary care in a well-established outpatient clinic.
  • Collaborate closely with two experienced APPs to manage patient care.
  • Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and follow up as needed.
  • Work clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

 

Inpatient Care (Hospitalist)

  • Serve as a hospitalist providing medical care to adult inpatients as part of a shared call or rotation schedule.
  • Admit, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients from the affiliated hospital.
  • Coordinate care with specialists, nursing staff, and case management to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary rounds.

  • Salary - $300,000 (RHC Model) for the first 2 years
  • Quality Incentive – 5% physician quality bonus
