Jail Health Services - Primary Care
Under general supervision of the JHS Chief Medical Officer, the 2232 Senior Physician Specialist acts as a clinical leader of healthcare staff and an advocate for patients. This position will participate in direct patient care including the coordination of care for complex patients and participate in continuous quality improvement efforts. This physician functions within an organized system of healthcare delivery. They will work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team including nurse practitioners, nurses, behavioral health staff members, and health workers. Communication and collaboration with the Sheriff’s Department staff is critical.
As needed: vacations, Leaves and also to fill in on evenings and Saturdays.
Non benefitted, and limited to < 1040 hrs in a rolling year.
