General Surgeon, Mooresville, NC – Live on the lake with Duke Health

Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible general surgeon to join a well-established surgery practice  located in Mooresville, NC. Fellowship training in acute care surgery, bariatric, or colorectal surgery is a plus, though not required. This is an excellent opportunity to join 4 stellar surgeons and 1 APP as a general or specialty surgeon, while serving as an ambassador for Duke Health programs at Lake Norman.

Position Highlights:

• Weekly schedule includes 2 days of clinic and 2 days in the OR
• Practice can be a mix of both acute care surgery and elective cases
• Practice growing to 6 surgeons
• New clinic space being developed across the street from the hospital
• Call is presently 1:4, moving to 1:6
• Physicians are paid for all call shifts
• DaVinci robot on-site
• Robust compensation plan that rewards clinical productivity

Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital is a 123-bed acute-care facility with a comprehensive range of diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. The medical campus includes 24-hour emergency medicine, acute care surgery, cardiology, orthopedics, maternal-fetal medicine and women’s services, and a weight loss surgery center among its services.
